SERVICES Naomi’s House

Naomi's House

Somebody’s mother, daughter, sister, aunt or niece. They are alone, without resources, spurned by family and society. They are homeless, single women, and they are the walking wounded. They are elderly, and they are young. At Naomi’s House, they seek warmth, comfort, a kind word, and the opportunity to be treated with dignity.

Naomi’s House provides overnight shelter to single, homeless women. The shelter is a collaborative effort between two organizations: Poverello House and Holy Cross Center for Women. The shelter grew out of concern for the plight of women living on the streets. Naomi’s House opened in October 2002.

Naomi’s House provides overnight shelter to homeless women 365 days a year. Additionally, many other free services are offered through the combined resources of the Collaborative, including: Hot meals seven days a week, medical and dental care, day shelter, laundry, clothing, case management, storage, transportation, health and personal living education, information and referrals.
