SERVICES Rehabilitation

Poverello House offers a substance abuse rehabilitation program. The resident program is open to adult male substance abusers with no income, physically able to work; be able to function in a structured group environment; willing to make a commitment to staying six months in the program and show a willingness to adopt a sober lifestyle.

Poverello House does NOT accept men with psychiatric problems which require treatment using psychotropic drugs, histories of violent or sexual offenses, or gang affiliations. There are no fees and intake interviews are done by appointment only. Available services are: room and board, individual counseling, group counseling, TB testing, medical evaluations, work therapy, vocational referrals, substance abuse education, scholarship program and transitional services, a small weekly stipend, exit planning services, recreational services and spiritual development.
